Petite Star have been designing best-selling nursery products for high street brands for over 50 years so you'll forgive us for wanting to blow our own trumpet with a range of own brand products that meet the same exacting quality standards that Petite Star are renowned for amongst household name nursery retailers. Michael Slagel established this family run business 50 years ago. Michael's son Neil joined the business in 1975 becoming Managing Director in 1991 During Neil's stewardship, Petite Star has significantly increased its product and customer base. Neil has a wealth of experience within the retail industry and an unrivalled understanding of major Far East production techniques and protocol. He is a member of the British Standards Institute Committee that controls the UK standardisation of baby products in the UK, and is a member of the CEN committee, which legislates for European nursery goods. In addition, Neil is an Executive Member of the Baby Products Association. Petite Star's head office is in Leavesden, Watford (NW London) and employs approximately 35 people. The head office is also home to the administration centre, logistics & distribution centre and customer service departments. Our Design Studio is in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and it is here that all new products are designed and developed by our talented in-house team. We also have a highly experienced British team based in China at one of our major manufacturers who oversee development and production and constantly review quality and ethical views of existing & new suppliers. |
